Hello and thank you for visiting my website! Please call me Lana.
My mission is to compassionately guide people to take back their health through simple changes in habits and nutrition. I do not provide a cookie cutter solution, but a tailored one, to meet each unique client’s needs and lifestyle. Every client is an individual with different views and definitions of what health means to them. I help interpret this into goals and then put it into an actionable plan which we both put together.
My tag line line is “Your Health, Your Way” because I believe that everyone chooses their own best path to being healthier and it is my job to help them to help them get there.
I have firsthand experience with managing migraine triggers and irritable bowel syndrome. My family history has high risk for breast cancer and T2 diabetes so I keep on top of these nutrition topics and apply them to myself. My bloodwork and tests have been great so far!
After working in public healthcare for many years , I decided to open up my private practice. I also teach cooking & nutrition classes at Dogwood Community Centre. Recently I have been working with BC Diabetes.
I am registered with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia and am a member of the Dietitians of Canada. I have been a dietitian for 35 years and have a MBA (both from McGill).
My experience also includes managing food service and nutrition in rehab, long term care and acute care settings.
